Meditative Therapy for Helping Professionals

Do you know what ensures 80% of marketing success and 90% of service quality in the helping industry?
Great PR, flashy brand, and a line of certificates on the wall?
Nope.
It is the practitioner’s own state of mind, and openness to a constant inner search, personal development, and deeper mindfulness. It is the ability to show up trauma-free and clear, which is not a default for any of us.

We are all only humans.
We all carry our load of mental and emotional trash.
Being a coach, a counselor, a trainer, etc., doesn’t automatically make you a perfect superhuman. But it does require that you manage this load effectively, and don’t bring project it on your service or your marketing.

The very process of helping other people professionally exposes a practitioner to tremendous psychological pressure.
A good professional must be able to take it, to fully be with the client despite the pressure, and to properly release it afterward.
A great professional must be able to use the emotional and mental challenges to grow as a professional and as a human.

I’m not pointing fingers here, but there’s a tendency among helping professionals to expect that their clients should be more open to receiving emotional help, then they are willing to be.
